Welcome Josh Klumpe, Executive Director!

We are pleased to announce that Josh Klumpe has accepted the position as the first Executive Director of the Humane Society for Greater Lafayette.

Josh has served as Chief Animal Control Officer for the City of Lafayette for 16 years.  He has received extensive training and certification in animal welfare, and has led in the transformation of multiple animal ordinances, testified as an expert witness in numerous animal related cases, testified at the State House supporting animal legislation, and has worked tirelessly to change and improve animal welfare in our community.  Josh is a member of the Tippecanoe County Animal Advisory Board and has been an active volunteer with many community organizations.

Josh has been involved in every facet of our new shelter, and he will play a very important role in continuing to improve the lives of animals within our community.  Please join us in congratulating Josh on his new position.  He will officially begin his position on January 1, 2024.
